About Us

About The Founders:

Carlin and Debbie have a huge passion for the outdoors and what it can teach us.  After meeting in teachers college specializing in environmental Science and Experiential Education, they quickly realized that the conventional teaching industry was not for them.  They started the school selfishly in 2016 so that they could enroll their own children and get to spend the days with them and their friends teaching in the outdoors.    To their surprise forest school was a much needed alternative and it blew up in popularity.  When they opened their doors in September 2016, their goal of 12 students very quickly became 50, and their one school has turned into 8 over the first 5 years.    “We consider ourselves so lucky that we get to work with our staff and community to provide such an amazing experience to our children.” Carlin & Debbie

About The Teachers:

Our staff have really helped us define who we are as a forest school.  Each teacher comes with their own unique set of skills and interests that they share with the students.  Their passion for the outdoors is contagious, and we would not be where we are today without them.

Each Forest School Teacher is either a qualified school teacher, or Early Childhood Educator.  In special circumstances we have hired teachers with extensive work and life experience in the teaching field which has proven only to add to the program.
